The W.E.B. Du Bois Center for Freedom and Democracy (DFC) is dedicated to educating the public about the life and legacy of civil rights pioneer W.E.B. Du Bois and celebrating the rich African American heritage of the Berkshires. Located in the historic Clinton A.M.E. Zion Church in Great Barrington—where Du Bois was born and raised—the Center serves as a living memorial and museum honoring his enduring impact on freedom, equality, and democracy.
