Narrated Mobile Tour App
The Du Bois Freedom Center’s narrated mobile tour of Du Bois and African American history-related sites in downtown Great Barrington includes audio, photos, and a GPS-enabled map. The tour, which begins and ends at the historic Clinton A.M.E. Church (future home of the Du Bois Freedom Center) at 9 Elm Court, covers 15 downtown sites (all within a few blocks of each other); two additional sites are a short drive away. This free tour was developed with support from the Town of Great Barrington and is part of the "Great Barrington Tours” app which can be downloaded from the Apple or Google Play App Store.
Note: We suggest you wear comfortable shoes and bring water for all tours. There are no facilities at the church, Boyhood Homesite, or any of the other tour stops.
