Friday, October 17

4PM – 6:30 PM Public Preview

Kick off the weekend with a public evening preview of the newly refreshed 309 Main Street field office. Explore the updated exhibits, enjoy light refreshments, and hear from Dr. John D. Lloyd, Interim Executive Director, and Marcus P. Smith, DFC Archival Fellow, about what’s next for the Center’s programs.


Saturday, October 18

11AM - 3PM Public Preview

Spend the day exploring new interpretive exhibits and local history displays. At 1:00 PM, join Dr. John D. Lloyd and Marcus P. Smith for a W.E.B. Du Bois Homesite Walking Tour. The tour is capped at 30 participants and requires an RSVP.


Sunday, October 19

11AM - 3PM Public Preview

Continue the celebration with more time to experience the exhibits and community connections. At 1:00 PM, take part in a Great Barrington Walking Tour, led by Dr. John D. Lloyd and Marcus P. Smith, tracing Du Bois’s footsteps through significant historic sites including Saint James Place, Town Hall, First Congregational Church, Clinton A.M.E. Zion Church, the Rosseter Street Neighborhood, the Railroad Street Youth Project Murals, and the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center. This tour is capped at 30 participants and requires an RSVP.
